, or if you’re still new to the scene and need some ideas, check out some of the tips we’ve provided here or stop by Ryan’s RV Town near Seattle, Washington to chat with our friendly staff about some of their favorite RVing activities. Head to a Festival
This one’s a classic. Festivals of all kinds often last for several days and when you just give yourself a few hours, you’re depriving yourself of some parts of the event, whether its performance groups, booths you didn’t have time for, and more. Our neighbors in Tacoma host a plethora of festivals, from food to music to cultural events. All you have to do is find a nearby campground (if they don’t offer spots at the event), and enjoy a long weekend of fun activities!
Follow a Concert Tour
If you know a group of people who love the same band, then consider following that band along their concert tour. Some of the bigger musical acts can have national tours, which for some is a little time consuming and tiring, but also gives you a wide range of experiences across the U.S. Or you can also follow an act around a particular region. Either way, you can explore the venue cities by day and enjoy the show at night. With your Class C, you won’t have to worry about the expense of eating out all the time and hotel rooms. Just find a place to park your camper and you’re good to go!
Class Cs can be a great party vehicle for any event. Some of the most popular parties to throw are tailgating parties, where you can take your comfortable RV to your home team’s stadium and turn an afternoon game into a whole day of celebrating. But there are other ways you can use your Class C for parties. Any outdoor event can benefit from having an indoor area to escape to for a break from the sun or just in case the weather turns bad. Plus, you’ll have a kitchen and lounge area to make prep and relaxation more convenient.
Of course, not all Class C activities have to take place in the city. After all, RVing was originally all about exploring the outdoors in a more convenient way. Check out some local hiking trails to give you the opportunity to get some fresh air and stretch your legs. If you’re headed up to Bellingham, then check out the North Chuckanut Mountain Trailhead or Whatcom Falls Park to check out some of the best local hiking areas.
Some great camping trips include some time on the water to catch some of the freshest fish in the region. The Pacific Northwest is filled with delectable species that you can cook up for dinner. Bring along your boat or find one to rent or even just stand on the shoreline and reel in the biggest catch of the day.
You can also check out some great climbing areas near you. Not everyone likes heights, but if you like the challenge of a highly physical activity, then consider finding a local rockwall or a cliffside that’s safe–and legal–to climb.
